Beyond Blue show garden ‘Journey’ wins gold
Beyond Blue landscaper, Ryan McMahon takes out gold at Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show.
“Beyond Blue was proud to be the official charity of the 2019 Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show.
It was a wonderful five days for Beyond Blue to share our Health Families messages with the 100,000+ crowd.
Beyond Blue aims to encourage all children and their families to be not only physically healthy, but mentally healthy. Getting outside into nature is a great way of starting to plant this seed of positive mental health in your life.

It was great to see so many families and children come visit our Beyond Blue space and get involved with our painting, drawing, photo booth, games and face painting activities.
Parents and carers also learnt more about the Beyond Blue’s Healthy Families website, a great source of information on ways to support the children and young people in their life as well as help them to take care of their own mental health and wellbeing.
The highlight of the Show was our Beyond Blue landscape designer Ryan McMahon winning a gold medal for his amazing Beyond Blue Show Garden ‘Journey’ – an exploration of mental health.
Beyond Blue would like to thank Steel Blue for their support of the event, providing a pair of Steel Blue blue boots to Ryan and his team of 15 landscapers as they completed the 9 day garden build for the show.”
