WA Export Awards Winner
Steel Blue announced as WA Manufacturing Award winner at the 30th Western Australian Industry & Export Awards 2018.
Western Australian safety boot manufacturer, Steel Blue, has been named the winner of the Manufacturing Award at the 2018 Western Australian Industry & Export Awards event held on 18 October 2018 at the Hyatt Regency Perth.
The Western Australian Industry and Exports Awards honour some of the state’s most innovative and forward-thinking companies, in a rapidly changing global marketplace.

Steel Blue undertakes rigorous research to identify viable new markets. Region-specific product ranges that appeal to end-users and distributors are then developed, followed by the implementation of region-specific marketing strategies that best showcase Steel Blue’s premium safety footwear, while adhering to industry safety standards within the region.
In 2017-2018 Steel Blue achieved significant growth in its international markets; re-launched a multilingual website; held its first international Sales Conference; and expanded operations into Germany, Trinidad and Tobago.
Steel Blue will now go through to the National Award program and represent Western Australia in the Manufacturing Category at the Australian Export Awards National Ceremony on 27 November 2018 in Canberra.
