We’ve updated our packaging to help the environment
You may have noticed Steel Blue’s shoeboxes and packaging look a little different these days. If you haven’t seen these changes yet, you soon will—we’re rolling them out globally.
We wanted to update you on these changes, because they’re about a lot more than a simple redesign. They’re an important part of Steel Blue’s commitment to the environment.
Our new packaging:
- Contains no plastic
- Contains no solvent-based adhesives
- Is 100% reusable and recyclable, with compostable shipper bags for one pair orders
- Uses less paper
- Uses more recycled content.
You’ll also notice our new shoeboxes contain QR codes. These link out to care information about our boots and to recycling advice for the packaging itself, and they replace the paper inserts you’re used to.
Steel Blue is an active member of the Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation and we’re committed to the covenant’s goals, including phasing out single-use plastic, increasing the use of recycled material, and recycling as much of our packaging as possible.
Our new environmentally responsible packaging is one of Steel Blue’s biggest achievements of the past year. We’re very proud of it.
